2 Crafty fun!

Just sharing my March creations for 2 Crafty Chipboard!

I have used some beautiful and fun pieces this month.

The 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces I used on my first creation are:

Cute- Loopy Font
Chevron Bits
Mixed Buttons
Polaroid Frame
Penny Farthing Bike
 ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars

"Cute"

I applied some mint paint to the "Chevron Bits" and some Gesso to the negative
pieces which I then layered together.  I then adhered them to the layout with foam tape,
giving them dimension.

Two of my little cuties feature on this layout, so it was fitting to use the "Cute Loopy Font"
as my title piece.  I gave it a coat of Gesso first and then added some Shimmerz paints
and lastly applied some glitter to the bottom section of the word.

I added a few tiny hearts out of the "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars" set.
I covered the "Mixed Buttons" with some chunky gold glitter.
Under the photo here, you will also find a glitter covered "Polaroid Frame".

To finish off my layout I added the cute "Penny Farthing Bike".
Applied some paint and popped on a couple of Wood dots.

I have a little addiction to pastels at the moment.
On this page I have used similar colours but have popped a few more
brights with the oranges and pinks.

I have used the following 2 Crafty pieces:
Cherish Loopy Font
Vintage Elements 1
ATC Georgian Frames
Bambi

"Cherish"

I used the "Loopy Font Cherish" word as my title.   A quick application of Gesso and
then again a light coverage of Shimmerz down the bottom section of the word.

I have used the big ornate frame from the "Vintage Elements 1" pack.  Gesso was applied
first and then I gave it a really light coverage of Shimmerz which I toned down with water.

Lots of Shimmerz and other bits and pieces.

I loved this little "Bambi" piece and new it would fit perfect with the
 words......."Cherish those dearest to me".
So I would have to say that this whole layout came together by this one cute piece!
I have applied some watercolour pencils to the outline of Bambi.
I love the effect it gave once adding water.

I used a couple of  "ATC Georgian Frames" on certain sections of the layout.
Some where cut in half, I used watercolour pencils and Shimmerz paints to
 blend them into the background.

I love this pie chart stencil by TCW.  It had fun teaming it with Shimmerz and watercolours.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your weekend has been lovely xo

Some pretties today :)

Hello!  Tonight I have a few pretty things to share with you.

The first creation is one of my DT pieces made for Shimmerz this month.
It's a canvas I made for a friend.  Her precious little niece was born and I got to go all out girly and pretty on this one!!!!

Here are the Shimmerz products I used:

Spritz in Plum Pudding and Ruby
Coloringz in Pink Stiletto
Vibez in Jeni B Bleu
Dazzlerz in Pucker Up Pink
Shimmerz in Magenta and Lilac
Enamelz in Sparklicious

I used a Prima mask and some Gel Medium on the canvas.  Which I then sprayed with with the Vibez and Spritz.  I then highlighted the resisted area with the Shimmerz pots, also adding a little water to give it the water colour effect.

I always like to add some crystals or enamel dots to my creations.  I try to match the colours as close as possible so they almost blend into the Shimmerz background.

I don't think you can quite tell by my photographs but I added a lot of sparkle to this creation.  It's sooooo pretty!  I tone my flower edges down with a little Gesso.  This is when I will sprinkle on the Enamelz in Sparklicious so that in dries into the wet Gesso.

I now have a few pretty cards I want to share..........

"Love You"

I used some AC Dear Lizzy papers on this one.....

"Happy Day"

"Celebrate"

I hope you enjoyed my girly post today.....off to create some more :)
Have a great weekend xo

OUAS DT reveal and tutorial

Good Afternoon :)  Today I have my Once Upon a Sketch DT project to share with you.  Part 2 of the DT reveal went live over the weekend.  So much gorgeous inspiration along with all the amazing entries already so far....check out the blog HERE.

I actually flipped the sketch on the side as I had a landscape photo to work with.

Here is my take on the sketch and the journaling theme was...........

Love this saying :)

"Happiness and Love"

I will just share some detailed shots but further down you will find a quick photo tutorial on how I created this layout.........

1.
I started with 2 pieces of paper.  One cut a little smaller than the other and distressed the edges.  I adhered them together and then proceeded to scrape some Gesso down the page keeping it fairly central.

2.
I applied a stencil and scraped modelling paste over it.  I then applied some Shimmerz mists.

3.
I now started with my paper layers which would then become my photo mat.  I cut several pieces of paper into strips and distressed all of the edges.  I also added a little hessian in there.

4.
I applied a piece of calico (with frayed edges) to the photo mat followed by a long piece of string I wrapped around my hand several times.  The photo then went into place.

5.
I placed a doily to the right had of the photo and added another one tucked in to the bottom right of the photo.  I added some sparkly thread too.

6.
This is now where I started to add my flowers.  I cut the vine in half and placed at both ends of the photo.  Others where tucked in here and there and a decorative pin was added to the top right of the photo.

7.
Another flower and some painted on circles.

8.
Several more flowers.........(yes I love flowers)!

9.
I then added the barb wire 2 Crafty chipboard.  I layered it over some of the flowers.

10.
I applied Gesso to the tips of my flowers, leaves and hessian.

11.
A few extra things were added now.......the title, the hearts, the flair button, the toothpick sign and the doily down the bottom.

12.
I applied a few flicks of Shimmerz (whilst covering the photo) and enamel dots.  I applied a small amount of Rub n Buff (in Antique Gold) to the barb wire and flower edges giving it a little more rustic look. Then I completed the layout with my journaling up the top right hand corner.

There you go, I hope you enjoyed my process :)

There is still plenty of time to jump on board with the challenge.  I can't wait to see what you make!!!!  Have a wonderful day xoxo
